My name is Viet-Triet, my current legal given to me at birth. However, you can call me, John. Hoa is my middle name. Nguyen is a common Vietnamese name (pronounced similarly to the word  "win").
I am an award-winning multidisciplinary graphic designer and artist with 15+ years the creative industry on both client and agency side. I've had a passion for the arts ever since I was a toddler and first grew interested in graphic design as a teenager. Much of my work is inspired by different cultures; social justice; and the spontaneous, little joys in the universe. My current motivation is to produce creative that will help amplify various voices that need to be amplified. (Such as Vietnamese voices and Queer voices.)
I've created work for global brands like Taco Bell, Penguin Random House, Nickelodeon and have experience with both the agency and client with a BFA from California State University of Fullerton. My work has been featured in Out Magazine, Adweek Magazine, LGBTQ+ Nation and more.
I currently reside in Southern California. U.S.A. I enjoy traveling, playing Pokemon Go, and watching films of all genres. Countries I've traveled to: Vietnam, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Argentina, Indonesia, Singapore, Cuba, Thailand and Costa Rica.
Bucket List Items: (1) Swimming alongside a manatee. (2) Travel to all seven continents. (3) Producing honey and caring for my own bee colony with bee hive.
Let's continue to all be advocates to those in marginalized communities. Join me in amplifying the communities and organizations below. (This webpage is a work in progress.)
